Help us welcome our New Office Manager Miss Alison 💚 Alison Kaminski, is originally from New Hartford, CT and currently resides in Barkhamsted on a small farm with goats, chickens and ducks. She has a B.S. in Horticulture from UCONN. For the last 20 years Alison worked in a corporate management roll, in charge of daily operations of a warehouse, as well as a pay roll specialist. Alison enjoys working in her gardens and taking care of her animals she has at home, as well as watching her daughter dance at TDP. Alison has two children, Becca & Nicholas, and has recently become a grandma. Alison is excited to join the staff at The Dance Project and can’t wait to see all the smiles that come thru the door for season 9!

The past 2 days we welcomed The Wolcott High School Dance Team in for their UDA Camp! The team will attend UDA Nationals in Florida in January, this is a first for the team! WHAT MAKES THE DANCE PROJECT STAND OUT? 💚 At The Dance Project, we believe in top-notch training AND fun while emphasizing teamwork and developing the whole person—not just the dancer. Several members of our faculty have been teaching for 25+ years, with backgrounds in dance education, professional performance, choreography, adjudication and more. Our faculty understands not only how to dance, but how to teach proper technique safely, correctly and progressively. Our dancers receive strong, well-rounded technical training so that if they dream of pursuing dance in college, a conservatory or trainee program, or professionally, they have the tools and foundation to take that next step. But great dancers are about more than technique. At TDP, we place a strong emphasis on TEAM. We teach our dancers to support one another, celebrate each other’s successes, work through challenges together and understand that being a great teammate is just as important as being a great performer. We also believe in building the whole human. Confidence. Accountability. Kindness. Independence. Resilience. Work ethic. Respect. These are lessons our dancers can carry with them long after they take their final bow. As a Dancer Safe Studio, we maintain clear policies and boundaries that create a safe, structured environment. Our waiting and classroom areas are reserved for dancers and faculty only, allowing our students to become more independent and our teachers to focus on what they do best—teaching. Whether a dancer comes to us once a week simply because they love to dance or dreams of someday dancing professionally, every dancer deserves quality training, a positive environment and the opportunity to have FUN.
