All Things Recital

Commonly Asked Questions

When will costumes be sent home?
Costumes will be sent home mid–late February. More specific dates will be shared closer to delivery.

Will costumes include tights?
Yes! Tights are included for all dancers unless otherwise noted.

What shoes will my dancer need?
Required shoes are listed by class on our website. A detailed shoe breakdown will also be sent home prior to recital.

Costume Pictures

When is Costume Picture Day for All Stars?
πŸ“Έ Saturday, March 14th at The Dance Project
Times will be announced soon. We strongly encourage all All Star dancers to attend.

Are we required to purchase photos?
No. There is no obligation to purchase, but we ask all dancers to attend as photos are displayed during our spring shows.

When is Picture Sales Day?
πŸ–Ό Monday, March 23rd | 5:00–8:00 PM at The Dance Project

What if I can’t attend Sales Day?
No problem! A photo link will be emailed to you. Please note that online ordering is slightly more expensive than in-house sales.

Recital Tickets

When do recital tickets go on sale?
🎟 March 23rd–April 6th
Tickets are $21.00 per person. Children under 3 are free.
All tickets must be purchased online in advance.

What if I have children in two different All Star shows?
Families with dancers in multiple shows only need to purchase tickets for one show. While we did our best to place siblings together, capacity limitations made this unavoidable for some families.

Why are there two All Star shows?
Due to theater capacity. A single show would require limiting the number of tickets per family.

Hair & Makeup

How should female dancers wear their hair?
Please refer to the attached hair guide.

Is stage makeup required for All Star dancers?
For our younger dancers, stage makeup is completely optional. There is no requirement for toddlers or young children, and we fully support whatever choice your family is most comfortable with.

Some families choose very light, natural makeup because stage lighting can wash out facial features, and a small amount can help expressions show on stage and in photos. If used, makeup should remain minimal and age-appropriate (natural tones only).

Most importantly, your dancer will shine with or without makeup. Our goal is for every child to feel confident, comfortable, and proud on stage πŸ’š
